Technical Support Representative

LEAP Technologies of Carrboro, NC, a robotics company serving the scientific community, is currently seeking a highly motivated, proactive, personable, educated and experienced technical expert to fill the position of Technical Support Representative.

Location: Carrboro, North Carolina

Requirements:

• College Associates or Bachelors Degree or two years of technical training.
• Minimum of two years working in an industry R&D or QC laboratory, preferably in a Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Environmental Lab environment.
• Prior technical support experience and chromatography experience preferred.
• Must be willing to travel (and have a valid driver's license)
• Must be a motivated self-starter with excellent people skills

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support and application assistance to all of LEAP Technologies� customers and partners.
• Be proficient with installing, trouble shooting and repairing all old and new LEAP instruments when required to do so, ensuring that they meet product specifications for running customer samples.
• Perform preventive maintenance on LEAP instrumentation at customer�s site.
• Perform in-house instruments and parts� failure diagnostic, repairs and overhauls.
• Keep track of services parts and modules inventory levels. Communicate with operations on status of inventory.
• Provide telephone support and handle escalation of technical customer issues.
• Prepare parts to be shipped to customers for service repairs and exchanges.
• Advertise and provide pricing for LEAP�s services, including warranty extensions and service contracts.
• Submit service reports, itineraries and expense reports on a regular basis
• Fill in whenever there are not enough people available to provide adequate support.
• Perform instrument/system and software demonstrations when necessary.
• Be responsible for overall customer satisfaction.
