LEAP announces two new versions of the CTC PAL Sample Handler: The HTC-xt and HTS-xt
The HTC-xt and HTS-xt, the new versions of the CTC PAL Sample Handler are primarily designed as high throughput liquid chromatography injector systems for the Life Science market where sticky compounds and higher sensitivity mass spectrometers demand near zero carryover.

The HTC-xt and HTS-xt feature:
- A new state-of-the-art new electronics board
- Dynamic Load and Wash (DLW) concept
This results in:
- Keeping sample away from the syringe, plus fast, effective washing of all wetted path
- Near-zero carryover results from run to run
- Larger memory capacity for more objects
- Faster basic motor speeds
- Controls additional solenoid valves and other accessories
- Externally exchangeable fuse, which protects electronics
- Ethernet as well as RS 232 interface
- New firmware 4.x not available for old boards

Waltham, MA – PerkinElmer, Inc., a global leader focused on the health and safety of people and the environment, has entered into a resale arrangement with LEAP Technologies Inc. Under this arrangement, LEAP Technologies Inc. will be able to incorporate PerkinElmer’s proprietary ultra high performance liquid chromatography (UHPLC) and high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) technology into front-end automation systems for mass spectrometry within the United States and Canada. The combined offering is intended to enable LEAP’s biotech and pharmaceutical customers to derive additional insight into the data of their most demanding applications. Financial details of the arrangement were not disclosed.
The arrangement includes the following solutions; PerkinElmer’s new Flexar™ and 200 Series UHPLC and HPLC; the new Chromera™ and TotalChrom® Chromatography Data Systems software packages; and associated consumables and spare parts as well as LEAP’s CTC LC-1, HTC, and HTS robotic sample handlers.
In addition, as a result of this arrangement, PerkinElmer will be able to provide advanced automation solutions from LEAP Technologies into markets beyond their traditional customer base including environmental, food safety, and forensics.
